Our Team
At True Connections Counseling & Consulting, our team is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and culturally responsive space for processing and growth. We offer both in-person and virtual services, allowing clients to access care in a way that feels comfortable and convenient.
I’m Sharalda, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, therapist, mental wellness coach, and the founder of True Connections Counseling & Consulting.
My work is grounded in connection, culture, compassion, and real-life conversations. I support adults navigating grief, anxiety, depression, burnout, relationship stress, life transitions, self-doubt, and the weight of always feeling like they have to be strong.
A large part of my work centers African American and BIPOC communities, especially those carrying cultural stress, Superwoman/Superman expectations, imposter syndrome, generational patterns, and the pressure to keep going even when they are tired. At the same time, my practice is inclusive and affirming of clients from all backgrounds who are looking for a therapist who is warm, honest, down-to-earth, and collaborative.
I do not see myself as the person who “heals” you. You are not broken. My role is to walk beside you as a thought partner, guide, and personal passenger-seat hype woman while you reconnect with your voice, your values, your boundaries, and your sense of self.

My Approach
Therapy with me is relational, client-centered, culturally responsive, and rooted in storytelling. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to help you slow down, notice patterns, ask new questions, and make meaning of your experiences in a way that feels honest and useful.
I bring my full, authentic self into the room and invite you to do the same. Sessions may include reflection, humor, hard truths, gentle challenges, education, creativity, and space to simply breathe.
This is a space for unpacking, processing, resting, reconnecting, learning, unlearning, and reclaiming parts of yourself that life may have caused you to silence, shrink, or carry alone.
Come as you are. We’ll work from there.
